| Soil | Sedimentary soil with layers of compact sandstone, known as Werfen formation originated 260 million years ago. |

| Production area | Lagrein is a so-called "late" variety, which prefers temperate areas for optimal ripening. The grapes used to produce our Lagrein Riserva come from a vineyard near the winery, with a slight western exposure. The vines have an average age of 45 years and are grown using the double Pergola training system with a density of 3,500 vines per hectare. The term “Pletter” refers, in our dialect, to a type of sedimentary rock that contributed to the formation of part of our soils during the Triassic period, about 260 million years ago; the term comes from the German “Blätter”, meaning leaves, due to the layered structure of this particular rock. |
| Production | 6.000 bottles, depending on the vintage. |
Other curiosities
Lagrein is a native grape variety long spread throughout Trentino-Alto Adige, producing a wine with an almost impenetrable color and violet reflections. This variety is characterized by aromas of small red berries, with notes of underbrush and spices, reminiscent of Rhône Valley Syrah, with which it shares a familial connection.
